THE 2011 AGENDA: OPTICAL LAYER INTEGRATION, MPLS-TP-OAM, CLOUD AND
DATA CENTER INTERCONNECTION
The conference helps to enlighten the precise stakes involved in the convergence of the MPLS and Ethernet protocols, particularly their respective roles in the access networks. The 2011 agenda will pay particular attention to MPLS optical layer integration, Cloud services impact and data center interconnection, mobile backhaul and multicast issues.
The debate, one of the most attended moment of the conference, will cover MPLS-TP OAM issues.
MPLS & Ethernet World will again privilege operators and enterprises scenarios and testimonies. Delegates will thus benefit from the confrontation between equipment vendors developpers, standardization bodies representants and service providers wishing to implement new services based on the last recommendations.
THE CARRIER ETHERNET WORKSHOP
The fifth edition of the Carrier Ethernet Worshop will discuss technological and detailed implementation issues in parallel with the traditional MPLS Tutorial addressed by the IP/MPLS Forum.
The workshop will be addressed by the MEF ambassadors for the standardization process review. Other sessions will welcome vendors for business models and solutions descriptions and carriers for deployment reports.

THE INTEROP PLATFORM
The European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC) in collaboration with Upperside Conferences will once again invite industrials to a multi-vendor MPLS & Ethernet interoperability test in January 2011, to be demonstrated during the MPLS and Ethernet World Congress.
The interop platform will focus on the following innovative technology areas:
□ Mobile Backhaul Synchronization
□ Integration of Packet and Optical Networks
□ MPLS Transport Profile (TP) pre Draft standard
The tests will be performed and verified in detail at a closed doors hot staging at EANTC lab in Berlin. The successful results of the tests will be documented in a white paper released by EANTC during the congress.
