Thierry Ernst  Chairman  IPV6 Task Force France

09.00   IPv6 and The Smart Grid
Describing how the IPv6 adoption relates to Smart Grid and Energy, environmental monitoring for buildings and data centers by addressing the following topics:
• Overview of IPv6 protocol stack focusing on new additions to address the considered market’s   requirements
• 6LoWPAN
• Roll
• Case studies of meshed wireless IPv6-based solutions
• Energy and environmental optimization in Data Centers and buildings
• Smart Grid framework

Patrick Grossetete  Technical Marketing Director   CISCO

  09.20   Smart IPv6 Buildings
The Smart IPv6 building project intends to explore this IPv6 potential in built environments. It provides an international platform for research, academic and industrial partners,- coordinated by Mandat International with the support of the IPv6 Forum. The Smart IPv6 building project will be deployed and tested in a real situation with an existing building.

 Sébastien Ziegler  Chairman  Mandat International

  09.40   COFFEE BREAK
10.00   The Machine to Machine Potential
Describing 6LOWPAN and RPL IETF working groups activities. IPv6 in the  ZigBee Smart Energy stack. ETSI works on M2M.

 Laurent Toutain  Telecom Bretagne

10.20   IPv6 for Sensors and Actuators in Buildings
Describing a network architecture for microcontrolers on wireless and powerline media. Introducing the IETF proposal for meshed networks under IPv6. Presenting INRIA R&D work on these networking stacks whose aim is to allow interoperability and a complete remote command and control infrastructure for sensors and actuators through Internet services.

Bernard Tourancheau  ENS-CNRS-INRIA-INSA, UnivERSITE Lyon I

  10.40   Sensor Networks IPv6 Prototype
Describing a prototype implementation that is developed based on a theoretical work on sensor networks. (refer to the latest publication: http://www.mdpi.com/1424-8220/10/5/5233/)

The prototype software is developed using IPv6 features, e.g.  autoconfiguration and multicasting. Discussing reasons for developing in IPv6.

Athanassios Liakopoulos  PhD, Coordinator, Networking & Computing Infrastructure
Greek Research & Technology Network S.A.

session IV IPV6 IN MOBILE NETWORKS

14.00   IPv6 in Mobile Packet Data Networks: Opportunities and Experiences
The mobile packet data networks of today represent a huge potential for real and significant IPv6 deployment. Exploring opportunities, sharing experiences and highlighting important aspects of using IPv6 in mobile packet data networks.

 FREDRIK GARNEIJ  Systems Manager  Ericsson

  14.30   IPv6 from a Fixed/Mobile Operator Perspective
      • The “IPv6 business case” for a Service Provider.
• Fixed and Mobile networks - Different motivations for introducing IPv6 and different network   functionalities, causing different transitioning approaches.
• Stages of IPv6 introduction for Service Provider with own infrastructure.
• Standards which have to be considered
• How to fill the gap between IPv4 and IPv6 availability – extending the lifetime of IPv4?

Dipl. Ing. Karsten Fleischhauer  Deutsche Telekom AG - DTNP GmbH

15.00   IPv6 Considerations and Planning in a Large Financial
Discussing the imperative for preparedness within a large Financial Organization and describing the Firm’s approach and some of it’s findings so far.

Marc Woolward  CTO for Networks and Telecommunications  Goldman Sachs

  15.30   Mobile NAT64: NAT64 for Client and Network-based Mobility

Describing how IPv6 only mobile nodes receiving network based mobility support using Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) can communicate with IPv4 only servers in unicast and multicast. The protocol is based on local mobility anchors (LMA) maintaining a table similar to NAT64 and linking it to the binding cache. Receiving multicast data from IPv4 only content providers is also possible using IP4/IPv6 translation.
